Class Overview
Exploration Station classes focus on developmental learning through play, supporting physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development in a fun, nurturing environment.
Classes are designed for children aged 0-5 years and require a parent or caregiver to attend and remain responsible for the child at all times.
1. Age & Stage Eligibility and Prices
Classes are open to children at the following developmental stages:
-
Baby (non-mobile): £3
-
Crawling child: £7
-
Walking child: £11
-
Sibling (attending with a full paying walking child): £5
Pricing is based on the child’s current developmental stage rather than age.
All sessions must be booked online in advance via our booking system and completed booking form.
ES offers both drop-in sessions and bulk booking options, allowing you to book what works best for you and your family. Bulk booking options are outlined on the booking website.
2. Session Length
Each session runs for 90 minutes, allowing time for settling-in, free exploration and discovery, guided activities, tidy up time, singing, story time, bubble play and good-bye time.
3. Supervision Reminder
All children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver, who remains responsible for their child(ren) at all times, including siblings.
4. Liability
By attending, you acknowledge that:
-
Participation involves normal risks associated with toddler play.
-
Exploration Station is not liable for loss, damage, or injury except where required by law.
5. Photography & Media
We may occasionally take photos or short videos during classes for promotional purposes (e.g. social media or website).
-
Parent/carer’s written consent via the booking form and verbal consent is required for this to take place.
-
No child will be identified by name.
6. Age-Appropriate Play & Supervision
Activities are designed to support a range of ages and developmental stages. Children are encouraged to explore freely, however parents and caregivers are responsible for ensuring toys are used appropriately for their child’s age and stage.
-
Children remain under the direct supervision and responsibility of their caregiver at all times.
-
Please supervise closely to ensure that small parts are not placed in mouths, especially where babies and younger children are present.
-
While activities are age-appropriate and risk-assessed, participation is at your own risk.
-
Messy play activities are designed for sensory exploration and are often inedible. Parents and caregivers are responsible for supervising their child at all times and ensuring that messy play materials are not consumed.
We ask parents/caregivers to engage with their child(ren) and help maintain a safe environment for all.
7. Respecting the Play Space
To help everyone enjoy the session, we kindly ask that each play station is left as it was found once your child has finished playing. This helps keep the space welcoming, safe, and ready for the next little explorer.
Thank you for helping us create a calm, shared environment for everyone.
8. Illness & Health
To keep everyone safe:
-
Please do not attend if your child (or caregiver) has a fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, or a contagious illness.
-
Children should be symptom-free for 48 hours before attending.
-
Please inform us of any allergies or additional needs before attending via the online booking form.
9. Changes to Classes
We reserve the right to:
-
Change class times, locations, or facilitators if necessary;
-
Update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
10. Behaviour & Environment
Toddlers are learning, and big feelings are expected 💛
However, we ask that:
-
Caregivers treat staff and other families with respect.
-
We reserve the right to ask a family to leave a session if behaviour (child or adult) puts others at risk.
11. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that life with little ones can be unpredictable.
Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours before the class start time. Where possible, we are happy to be flexible and will do our best to accommodate rescheduling to a future session, subject to availability. Please contact us if you need to reschedule a session.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may not be refundable or transferable.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By booking and attending a class, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
